Remoov data · 2020 to 2026

Every Remoov pickup marks a household clearing out, moving or downsizing. Seven years of pickup records across the Valley show the 2021–22 moving rush, the cooldown that followed, and how the map of moves has shifted since the boom.

About the data

This analysis uses completed Remoov pickups: households that booked and had items removed. Each pickup is placed in one of eight Phoenix metro areas and counted by the month it happened. Pickups track people clearing out homes: moving away, moving in, downsizing or redecorating.

Remoov’s own growth, marketing and pricing affect how many pickups it does, so every chart here shows shares and percentages rather than totals. Remoov opened in Phoenix in late 2019, so the change map compares against the 2021–22 boom rather than 2020. Smaller areas can swing from year to year, and their percent changes run larger.
